An_Other_Manifesto

Exercise is good for our physical health, our heart health, and our mental health. Yet for most, exercise is like this elusive Private Member’s club, price of admission? Perfection.

Most of us feel that to simply show up at a yoga class, bootcamp or gym, we need to act like we’ve been going for years, wearing skin tight clothing and claim to be comfortable jumping and squatting in a roomful of people!

Now add to that being stared at on the daily purely for your identity, or a childhood trauma one might have from school sports lessons and being made to change in front of their peers, or even just the basic patriarchal stereotypes we’re still expected to conform to, and you have some pretty big barriers to exercise.

An_Other is a safe space where we move past sexuality, gender (assigned or otherwise), race, body type or pronoun. Here, we can access relevant information and learn how to create the bodies we want without fear or a need to conform to anything other than our own values.
